I've really been loving using a cleansing balm as part of my skincare routine so I figure I would share some awesome cruelty free and vegan cleansing balms for you to check out! But first I wanted to talk a bit about what cleansing balms are and what they are good for!
What is a cleansing balm?
A cleansing balm is a type of face wash that is oil based and has a thick balm texture. It's been popular in k-beauty for the last years, especially using cleansing balms when double cleansing.
What is double cleansing?
Double cleansing is using two different cleanser right after each other. Usually starting with an oil based cleanser like a cleansing balm or oil cleanser followed by a water based cleanser like a gel or foam cleanser. The idea is that oil and water based cleansers are good at removing different things.
What are cleansing balms good for?
Cleansing balms are good at removing sunscreen, makeup and oil build up without stripping the skin. Used together with a water based cleanser it can make sure your face is clean but also hydrated.
How to use a cleansing balm
I would recommend using cleansing balms once a day; for your evening routine. Use it as first step. Scoop out a pea sized amount and gently massage onto your whole face. Rinse off with water and follow with a water based cleanser.

I haven't used this product myself because I often have a bad skin reaction to Chamomile. So I think this one is for sure worth a try if you are on a budget.
