Rhode Skin: Most Successful Skincare Launch in 2022

The absolute biggest success of the Celebrity Skincare brands launched in 2022 is Hailey Biebers Rhode. It’s even fair to say that Rhode Skin was the most successful new Skincare Brand launched in 2022.

How Successful was the Rhode Skin Launch?

After Launching in June Rhode has already gained 652K followers on Instagram, that’s the third most gained followers of all the brands on this list. Rhode’s Engagement Rate is 3.8%, which is very high for a brand with so many followers. The only two brands getting more engagement than Rhode are Pleasing and Florence by Mills, two other celebrity skincare brands.


Not only is Rhode doing great on social media, but their website has also had over 1M visits in just the last 3 months. The demand seems to have exceeded their expectations considering their products are often sold out. So far Rhode is only available DTC on their website.

The Products

The brand launched with only three products; Barrier Restore Cream (moisturizer, $29), Peptide Glazing Fluid (serum, $29) and Peptide Lip Treatment (lip balm, $16). The brand’s huge success shows that launching with few iconic products is a solid strategy in today’s market. The relatively affordable price point feels appropriate considering their audience is mainly Gen Z and younger Millennials.


Rhode focuses on efficacious, intentional essentials. On Rhode’s website they state:


“Our best-in-class formulas are developed in partnership with our team of award-winning dermatologists and chemists to bring you clean, wearable products that glaze your skin with goodness.”

One of these experts on their Advisory Board is none other than cosmetics chemist Dr. Ron Robinson. He’s an award-winning chemist with over 20 years of experience and founder of BeautyStat. He is also an absolute sweetheart. Having Dr. Ron Robinson and dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali on the brands advisory board helps the brand gain credibility. Overall, the brand has been very well received.
